My little girl, she’s always creating some piece of art.  We have a ‘clothesline’ of art in our hallway already (have you seen that one on Pinterest?) but when I saw this cookie sheet turned magnetic board I thought she would just love to have one in her room to hang some smaller cards and drawings on.  So we cranked one out today!

I have no shortage of ugly old cookie sheets so I took the ugliest

and started off by spray painting around the outside.  I didn’t care about the middle knowing it would be covered in paper.

Then I let Grace pick out which paper she wanted. Let me repeat, she picked out the paper she wanted.  This time I just used a good ol’ glue stick, no mod podge (can ya believe it?).

Then Grace saw these with the scrapbooking papers and said we should make these magnets.

Why not?

So I cut up an old magnet and stuck it to the back of them

Voila

This one is definitely über-girlie but you could easily make one for your office with some slightly more ‘subdued’ paper.

Recycling at its best!
