Oh, its a real word.

brinner (brin-ner) adj. breakfast eaten at the time in which you eat dinner.

It’s BREAKFAST for DINNER people!

I could tell you that I do it because my kids love it so much and I’m such a good Mom but this one is purely selfish…it’s all about me.  I looooooove me some brinner.

With fall finally here (collective *sigh*) doesn’t everyone have pumpkin on the brain?  I’ll be making this soon:

Recipe here at Closet Cooking.

Or how about this crock pot deliciousness from Family Fresh Meals

Someday when I’m feeling a little more decadent I’ll be trying out these babies:

Coconut Macaroon Pancakes from 101 Cookbooks.  Clearly not for the faint at heart.  Bring it.

Most of the time however, I go the boring route and scramble up some eggs with whatever goodness we have in the fridge at the time.  Pancakes or french toast with cinnamon works for us…

Set some toppings out for the pancakes/french toast

Can’t talk now Mom, I’m busy shoveling

Soooo good.

This post is an homage to our friends Robin and Brad who introduced us to brinner a few years back. These two host the most amazing parties with food to die for but I happen to love it most when they serve brinner.

Try it, I dare ya.  You won’t regret it.

What’s the most fun dinner you’ve made?
