It’s been a hard week here in Colorado.  Our hearts are all broken for the loss of 10 year old Jessica Ridgeway. We are sad. We are enraged.

I feel helpless. So I pray. Then I do the only other thing I know to be right and I love on my children.

When I looked at my next scheduled Pinspiration project it was so fitting. I found this photo on Pinterest and knew it had to be my new birthday photo tradition.

I had no problems tonight sitting down and taking the time to think of what makes my kids awesome and funny and beautiful in my eyes.   

On a side note, the photographer whose picture I pinned has a beautiful blog.  She has an incredible story well worth reading but fair warning, it’s a tear-jerker.
