Oh the beach.

How I miss the beach.

The wind was actually really cold the first day but it didn’t stop us.  Armed with sweatshirts and hats and jackets we headed down.

Look at my handsome boys looking too cool on their stroll.

Here’s Luke’s very first ‘dip’ in the ocean

Jack wasn’t even remotely interested in ‘dipping his toes’ so we snuggled instead

 1 night before full moon

The next day was a teenie bit warmer and that was enough for these kids

They ran in and out of the ocean for hours. They didn’t care that they were shivering and their lips were purple – it’s the beach!

We fed some more birds…

We went back one night for a bonfire and to do a little drawing in the sand

Let me be clear that Delaney did NOT write ‘we love crystal beach’

She wrote ‘I love JB’ (Justin Bieber – duh)

You know those movies that have the bonfire on the beach scene that makes it look like the the coolest, hippest thing to do that must be on your bucket list? Well take note that there are no small children in those scenes.  Especially overtired ones. Yeah.

It was worth it though 🙂

I couldn’t resist this one. Love both the color and B&W…

And the full moon reflecting on the ocean. Heavenly…
