I’m a sucker for a good, soft sweater. It just seems natural to me that a pillow would want to wear one too! So when I spied this beauty on Centsational Girl I knew I’d be busting out the sewing machine again.

First I headed to the Thrift Store, on 50% off day of course, and found some really soft (washable) sweaters.

And I turned them into this

They were super simple!  I cut the sweater to the size I wanted for the pillows, sewed up 3 3/4 sides (inside out), turned it ‘right side’ out and then stuffed it with the leftover filling I had from Jack’s headboard

After I sewed up the last little bit I realized it needed a little something so I added the button.

Here’s the couch before

Here it is with the new pillows and the blanket switched out

Fun!

But I didn’t stop there…oh no

Well I decided it wanted to wear a sweater too.  I saw the idea on – well, everywhere.

Here’s how I did it

Now my living room is all cozied up for winter

Do you like change things up seasonally?
